Our story

Built on Doing the Right Thing

Giving our neighbors a heating and cooling company they can genuinely trust was the simple initial goal of Mid Lakes Heating & Cooling. Honest, trustworthy, and truly local—not the biggest or most ostentatious.

One repair and one cozy house at a time, we have expanded since 2018 by doing the right thing for our clients. Our technicians have over 75 years of combined experience, but what really makes us stand out is the way we treat people: honest responses, excellent work, and no pressure.

Ownership

Meet the owner, John Jessup

John was born in Georgia and grew up in Loganville, where he and his wife Anna still live. Their three adult children are all in Walton County. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army and served three years, and in 1993 he graduated from the University of Georgia with an accounting degree.

At Mid Lakes Heating and Cooling, John handles the accounting, banking, insurance and administrative side of the business.

He serves on the Walton County Board of Education. Outside of work he fishes, hunts and watches college football, cheering for the Dawgs.

Terisa Scott

Office Administrator

Terisa was born in Georgia and grew up in Snellville. She now lives in Loganville with her husband Tom. They have three adult children spread across the country and six grandchildren. She spent 29 years in the medical field, most of it in medical management, and joined Mid Lakes after retiring to continue her career in administration. Terisa handles day to day scheduling, payroll and general office functions.

She is an active member of Monroe First Methodist, where she sings in the choir. Her hobbies include camping, crafting with her grandchildren, NASCAR and decorating for every holiday.

Ty King

Ty was born in Georgia and raised in Grayson, where he attended Gwinnett County schools before earning his HVAC degree at Gwinnett Technical College. He lives in Loganville with his wife Dana, and they have two adult children and three grandchildren. Ty works across the business, from the commercial side to the technical and training side, and brings more than 40 years of experience with him. He holds a state conditioned air license and NATE certification, along with a number of other certificates.

Ty fishes with a couple of local clubs and on the Georgia Bass Trail. He is an Atlanta Braves fan, and he follows college football for the Georgia Bulldogs.
